I participated at Gulf High in-person and online throughout my 4 year time. I was on the volleyball and weightlifting team. My first 2 years at Gulf High Schoolm were a learning curve, our facilities were old but were alson historical. We had hard times keep consistent teachers in my nenglish and math classes. I will say in my senior year, I saw great changes. A brand new school was built and our sports seemes to turn around. I can see the culture shift the staff is trying to make and it is admirable. We were tired of being talked down to simply because we attended Gulf.

my experience is half and half. my freshman year was online so I wont count that. my sophomore year was decent. I have heard many rumors about teachers but I do not know how many of them are true but I havd heard that some teachers have done terrible things and have not been fired because there is no one else who could replace them. the food is kind of back and forth like the taste is not too bad but you can just tell how fake it is. sometimes the food is even cold when it is not supposed to be. but I have had some great experiences too. I feel like the administration cares for the students and they have a great teacher who gets us ready for college. they are really good at informing us about what we need to graduate and to be successful in the future. The administration also care about the students and not just about our academic success. overall my biggest complaint is just the food quality.

Gulf high school has been open for over 100 years now. It is a very sentimental school, although the local area surrounding it, suffocates the possibility of it improving economically and socially. The faculty tries their hardest to make sure it is safe to learn and comfortable and I a student, appreciates that. Even though, the motivation presented in this school is very low. I sometimes wished I attended a different school only because I rather be ahead than on track.

This school is not my first choice, if any school would be my first choice, and if I willing choose a school I probably have been taken over by aliens. A particular English teacher at this school has a horrible attitude and calls her students stupid, threatens their grades constantly, and says that...

If you have an ESE student there, don’t expect much. My kid is supposed to be a senior this year but they haven’t enabled him to pass his sophomore year yet. And following the IEP, don’t hold your breath. Oh yeah, once the kid is trapped in the system there, they are never getting out. As a former s...

Gulf High School is a good school. The teachers that my grand daughter had really cared about whether or not she went to school. They always kept in touch with us at home so we always knew what was going on at school.(even the bad things). I love this school.
