GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been attending this school since Kindergarten and I have wholeheartedly loved my experience here. We, living in a small town, have all grown together and in a way, all feel like family. Everyone here including teachers, students, administration, and staff are all welcoming and help in any way possible. The whole campus is small but very comforting.

My experience at Horseshoe Bend was a positive one and one of growth, to say the least. I learned lots of things there and made friends and connections with people that will stick with me throughout life. What I would change about the school is, the system itself. The dress code, the student interaction, the staff's interaction with each other, and reorganize the students' curriculum (especially elementary).

I started Horseshoe Bend in the 8th grade. It was such a change from my former school. Everyone at HBHS is a family. This is the best thing about our small town/school. Being apart of this school is so great and I can't wait to finish my senior year here!

Horseshoe Bend is a SACS accredited school, which means that it DOES, in fact, offer many programs and courses to get our students ready for college. We could not have achieved SACS accreditation without offering quality programs and showing evidence of student success. Maybe you weren't ready for c...
