New Trier is a good choice if you want a school that is well-funded in the arts and sciences, as well as rigorous academic courses and college preparation. However, there is extremely minimal diversity, and if you need accommodations it can be difficult to get what you need or have teachers believe you and follow your accommodations. If you are not in the "main" sphere, it can be very isolating, especially with the huge size of the school. But overall, the resources are very good.

Very competitive in academics and athletics. NT prepares you for college both socially and academically. Teachers have high expectations.

New Trier is a great school with many opportunities within classes, extracurriculars, social life, and more. However, there are a few things that I wish were different - like diversity, school culture, and limitations on academics, especially when students want to take more honors or AP classes. That being said, my overall experience at New Trier has been quite good and I think it will prepare me well for life afterwards.

New Trier is a very overrated high school. Do not send your kids to New Trier. We regret it. Teachers are not good or helpful. We have witnessed bullying and discrimination.

New Trier is not a good high school anymore. It does not treat kids with special needs appropriately. New Trier discriminated against kids. Found the teachers to be arrogant and not helpful.
