The school environment supports student's emotional growth as well as their academic achievements. Students are valued for individual achievements as well as their contributions to the student body as a whole. However, parent involvement has been lacking due to the Covid epidemic.

Harlem Academy changed my life. It gave my the conference to pursue my academic dreams and professional ambitions. Almost six years later, I still visit and spend time with old staff and classmates. HA isn't just about academics, but community. I cannot recommend this school enough.

Generally, I would say this is a typical academic environment. There are stellar educators and there are unimpressive educators that are still sorting out their own niche as teachers, parent partners and guidance to the students. Harlem is a great school for children that need a lot of structure. It gives many children exposure to an education that goes beyond the classroom. Many of the teachers have a true desire for their students to succeed.

Harlem Academy has created an environment of not only academic growth but personal growth for our daughter. The teachers, staff and program has been an excellent fit for my son. This school has emphasized on academics which will lead my son to be prepared for our future job market. Great job Harlem Academy.
