Manhattan Hunter Science is a small school in a large city. This means that it was super easy to find myself, but also easy to get caught up in it too. The school has little interactive activities and needs to communicate better with the student council about money spending, in order to provide better opportunities for the students.

I would love to see a school more academically focused. This school has been focused on the mental well-being of the students and is starting to lack a variety of options academically.

Unsupportive teachers. Excessive homework.Poor school/life balance. Would not recommend unless your child wants to devote 100% of their time to school. Expect minimum 3 hrs homework a night, plus extra homework on weekends. My kid says their teachers don’t care, feel like they cannot approach them....

Good school. Grades and graduation rates are high, teachers definitely want to help you. I'd suggest coming here if you are quiet and or would enjoy extra help from teachers. The best part is a free 4 years at hunter college if you get a 80 or above average. It's something good to have just in case....

It is a small school with big mission. Getting kids college ready by actually sending them to college for senior year!

Teachers challenged me, trained me to be a conscious/critical thinker. I love the education received at MH...
