Educating students from prekindergarten through fifth grade, P.S. 84 is suitably named after a Brooklyn-born author and educator, Lillian Weber. P.S. 84 Lillian Weber implements the Teacher’s College reading and writing program, which provides general standards for learning and literacy. The hallways at Lillian Weber are filled with a myriad of languages. School administrators organize academics into three complementary programs: Spanish-English dual language immersion, French-English dual language immersion and computer science.
All P.S. 84 students learn in more than one language, concentrating on reading and writing, grammar and phonics and gaining language skills while learning math, social studies and science. Special education lessons are also taught at the school.

Ms. Delhomme is an excellent teacher. My kindergartner is speaking more clearly and starting to read in French only because of her. We are glad the city offers such a wonderful dual language program.
