Newark is a very large high school that does have a lot of clubs/extracurriculars, but the courses and school environment overall are subpar.

I only attended for one year, and now I'm at C-TEC. The one year I was there I loved my teachers, but I felt like I didn't learn much. I came from Bexley, so I think we were further ahead there. I was relearning stuff I already knew or I was in classes with seniors and it was way too easy in most of my classes. But the teachers were nice, and so were most of my classmates.

During Covid-19 time kids <including myself> don't feel safe enough to go to school every single day of the week because of the covid cases. So many cases have came up and so many kids have been quarantined because Newark doesn't know how to handle the situation. We go back 5 days a week with everyone there and then they get surprised when positive cases pop up. Lakewood does blended learning and their cases hasn't gone up. They way the go about this isn't smart and it's putting children and their families at risk, and they just don't care. They need to fix it.
