GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think one of the worst parts about this school is the communication between the people who work there with the parents. The teachers there are nice, but the communication sucked.

This a great school but there needs to be some work done with faculty. Teachers can be very disrespectful to students at times and tend to show their incompetence.

I had an okay experience at Newport High school. The teachers are very considerate and easy going. The cafeteria workers are very friendly and I've made a lot of life long friends at NHS. A few things I wouldn't mind changing, would be the sidewalks, and the bell schedule. I don't necessarily like having to be at school at 7:45, and then tripping in the mud over the rigged sidewalks when I'm late to class.
