Our school is in dire need of support from the community. We live in a tourist town where the tourists are prioritised over us a million times over. It is upsetting and frustrating. The teachers I have had at this school are the only thing that has saved my experience here - the staff genuinely cares and wants you to succeed and do well, the towns local govt. doesn't care just as much.

My High School has around 650 students so its not to big. I am able to know and engage with most the kids in my class. However I don't think our school does a good job pushing students to work their hardest and strive to reach their goals. Although they provide a good amount of AP classes students can take, I think they don't encourage kids to push to their limits. I really enjoy our athletics and our community, plus our awesome colors: red and black. I want to see teachers push their students more so we can be more successful.

I chose to go here because of the JROTC program and the diverse atmosphere. Going here has greatly improved my development as a person.
