My experience that people are very close knit and aren't super friendly to new people and it's hard to make friends. The best part is that they try very hard to get you prepared for life after high school and there is many internship opportunities and college readiness. The worst part about the school is the classrooms and bathrooms, the school is very old and not clean, the classrooms are dirty and the air conditioning and heater barely works and many bathroom stalls don't have locks on them and have holes in the stall so people can see in and you cant eat in the classrooms since they have rodent issues and they're very strict on phones. the food is also very low quality.

Newton-Conover High is a very good school overall, but the only reason why I'm rating it a 4/5 is that some of the teachers there are very inept and sometimes don't have a clue about what they're doing

Newton-Conover High School is a decent school that has a wide range of CTE classes that if chosen correctly could very well benefit your future. The issues with this school is the lack of interest in student growth.

I transferred my daughter here after moving to Conover she hated her first day. The students were rude and out of control. Even cussing in class while the teachers sat back and did nothing.
