GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I'd like to see more teachers and a wider variety of everything. The academics needs to improve and the administration.

I have been in the newton isd for my entire school life and it hasn't been completely terrible but definitely isn't the best school to prepare you for college or for the future unless you are good at sports or welding.

My experience was good since town so small everyone was basically like family so it was like home away from home!! What would I change!? Umm.. only thing I would change is some of the staff , and having more focus on education than football because that's like the main thing there!

At least, almost everyone cares, REALLY cares and there is a lot of pride in the school, esp. considering the poverty level in Newton County. I personally think it deserves a higher rating.
