Overall it's a great school, very helpful teachers and staff. I recently moved there 2 years ago and I can definitely say that i've leaned more here than before.

I would say my experience at Nimitz has definitely been a rocky road. I had a major downfall my freshman year but I got the best help I could get my sophomore year. Since then, I have blossomed into the person I am becoming to this day. Of course I think all high schools have their experiences and cultures, but I don't think it should be as traumatizing as it is. I constantly have the fear of losing my future because of those around me and how influential everything is. I know if I wouldn't have gotten placed in the position that I was put in my sophomore year I wouldn't have made it. I get to say I made first chair in the national honor choir because of the experience. I get to say my junior year, our student council got sweepstakes and such because of all our hard and dedicated work. I would love to see the culture at Nimitz change. The respect and boundaries, change.

The new principal, Mr. Nickerson, is on a power trip and insults both students and teachers. He does not respect the students or parents.

Nimitz is an excellent school to attend the teachers make you understand the assignment that they give you.also Nimitz has a solid culture especially band.Band has taught me valuable lessons in life and band has prepared me for the future the teachers in Nimitz make you feel prepared.

Absolutely terrible environment in every possible way imaginable. I used to enjoy attending this school for the most part but recent leadership has made my experience intolerable.
