GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

For all I have known, more parents show up to basketball games then any other sport that this school has ever had or even meetings or open house. The school may be small, but we have gone to basketball championships and state in basketball many years in a row. Our school and community is known for basketball and more and more people each year attend these basketball games. Basketball is our schools sport, it is what we have always done better in.

Nixon-smiley is a great school since it's not big you can have one on one help with the teachers to assist you in every way so you don't get left behind and everyone is nice so you don't feel left out and it's not a huge school but it's still somewhat big but you still feel the small school vibe when I do math I sometimes need a little more help because it's my worst subject but they will help you and the library is open until 7 to assist you in any way they can

The teachers are supportive and knowledgeable in their fields, the other staff members are friendly, and it feels like the school actually cares about its students. The only complaint I have is that there are no AP classes offered here. There are Hono...
