While Normal Community had its occasional issues and downsides to it, I was incredibly fortunate to take the classes and have the teachers that I did - they have made a huge impact on who I am today and have yet to be!

We have had many lockdowns, and because the school is overcrowded, safety is a concern. There's only one parking lot, and only one way in or out, so good luck driving. Besides all the normal safety concerns it's a good school. We have a lot of opportunities to be involved in school activities, and in the community. Most teachers are nice and care about the students.

Normal Community High School is a generally small school but it was able to build a strong community with diversity and opportunities. I am able to find teachers and peers that I am able to learn and enjoy myself with and also have access to many resources to better my future such as joining clubs such as FBLA and AAPI and having discussions with our college career counselor about my future. The one thing I would change is being able to have more money available for clubs and other resources so that students could have the best success in the future.
