Established in 1992, Toledo Blade Elementary School is a public school serving approximately 750 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school is a South Sarasota County gifted cluster site. Toledo Blade students can qualify for the school’s SOAR Program, which stands for Seeing Our Achievements Rise. In the program, high-achieving students in kindergarten through fifth grade are gathered into peer groups for accelerated learning. To enhance development beyond the core academic curriculum, the school’s recognition program honors deserving students with Caring Kids of the Month, Love of Learning, and quarterly academic and behavior celebrations. The student council serves Toledo Blade and the community by participating in projects such as the holiday food drive and the Great American Cleanup, a nationwide community improvement program. Additional opportunities include the daily news broadcast team, safety patrol and the school’s reading incentive program. Toledo Blade Eagles proudly wear their school’s gold, white and black on their mandatory uniform tops. My student had an amazing first year at this school but upon attending the second year there they were met with teachers who did NOT care for their personal safety with bullying, aggression and name calling from 3 students. Somehow it became our home life…our student’s fault and just not taken serio...

Toledo blade is a great school… The communication is great. The teachers are wonderful….They have helped both my boys. Because of them they’re doing good in school.. I totally recommend this school..
