With an enrollment of around 500 students, Lee Eaton Elementary School is Nordonia’s sole campus serving the district’s fifth- and sixth-graders. The Lee Eaton building was dedicated in 1955 and is named after the daughter of local industrialist Cyrus Eaton, who donated 12 acres of land where the school was built. In addition to academics, students at Lee Eaton Elementary have the chance to participate in an assortment of enrichment activities, including art club, ski club, band, choir and an a capella singing group. The Lee Eaton Elementary school band is comprised of around 100 Lee Eaton sixth grade students and is an excellent program for students who intend to join band in middle and high school. Lee Eaton is like other schools in Nordonia in that it ranks reasonably high according to the Ohio Department of Education. It earned a B grade overall on the most recently available Ohio State Report Card.

I am a fellow Lee Eaton student and I am very disappointed. Many times in the 2024-2025 school year kids have threatened the school. Yet, all they get as punishment is a 1 day detention! This school struggles mentally and physically with bullying and word usages. Fights happen every day and bad word...

This is our third year in the district and I have two children that attend Lee Eaton. Overall, I am disappointed with the school. The staff puts too much pressure on these children to be mature and responsible young adults...it is still elementary school. Also, there is so much emphasis put on bully...
