I have had a great experience at NFA. My favorite parts of my high school experience have been connecting with my teachers and just having a good time in class while also learning. At NFA, it is also very easy to meet new people, it is almost impossible to know everyone. My least favorite thing is probably that I only have 5 minutes to get to each class. For the size of our campus, sometimes it is nearly impossible to get from one building to another in 5 minutes, because of factors like the flow of people. As a result of this, some more uptight teachers will mark you as absent or late, although it is only because of the shortened time that we have to get to class.

Over my years at NFA I've seen many ups and downs with students, staff, and work. One of the best parts I've experienced was their classes that help with getting students ready for the world outside of school, such as personal finance and business explorations. One of the worst experiences I had was a lock down that turned out to be a false alarm. I would probably say that I would like to see more visual pieces outside, they have plenty of art inside but I think it would be more intriguing to others if there was more art around the school.

When I started at Norwich Free Academy I thought I would be overwhelmed with over 2 thousand students yet over a month went by and I was in my own community. NFA provides an amazing space for everyone and every culture as I walked across the huge campus I was entranced in the community everywhere. Even the opportunities NFA has provided were top-notched with over 20 collage credit classes and endless opportunities to succeed.

Large school with continued problems with violence that go unanswered. Repeated lockdowns and problems in the surrounding community. Many staff members were former students themselves who talk about the old glory days but don't try to make anything better currently. The campus is pretty but falling...

Theres really no such thing as special ed only on the IEP/paper not enforced ,special ed is a self contained class with a majority of student have a history of misbehavior and violent behavior or have been spelled from others schools ,I don't recommend this high school for special ed ..

I am currently enrolled in this school and it is my biggest regret. This school cares nothing about its students and student safety. the fights are way out of control and the fact that i fear for my own safety after watching a pier get beat in the face with metal water bottle and do nothing but canc...

As many other schools, the experience is base in how involved you are with your kid's activities. My son started 9th grade in 2022 and the experience was pretty good so far. I messaged the teachers and all of them answered. We attended to the welcome 9th grade event before school start so we can see...
