GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have gone through the entire Montville school system and I am about to graduate in middle of June. I have experienced many teachers who just don't care and who are complete messes. I have some really good teachers though. I am also in student government and the Administration does not let us do ANYTHING. Every time that we have a good idea that might actually increase student involvement they shut it down and we have so many rules that make the students HATE coming here.

small school everyone knows each other, students & staff. you get attention and grow connections. academically its impressive but severe lack of school spirit and athletic turnouts. i'd like to see the board increase budget for athletics in an attempt to make sporting events more enjoyable for both athletes and students alike, making games more fun to be at increasing school spirit. also decorate the school more, recent years it has been better with more school pride, and i get it was in a slump because of a mascot change but now they could work on applying the new mascot (wolf) into more aspects about the school. such as jerseys, murals, apparel, and pep rallies. and as much as students will say how corny the school is with all of the things they're doing or that they're "trying too hard," i think and i know others appreciate the effort that is being put in and think it should be kept up and more invested in.

When I went to Montville High, I found my forever friends there during my junior year of high school and have been friends with them since. What I would change about this school is the diversity, meaning more clubs dedicated to students of color or a space where students of color at the school can get together.
