GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Very focused on athletics and gives all of their funding to football over the other sports and performing arts. School is too small for the amount of students it has, I had to eat lunch on the floor of the hallway every year because the lunchroom only fits a quarter of the students. Recently made many unnecessary rules about going to the bathroom and lunch, which they should've invested the time into fixing any other issues.

I did like the teachers. I learned what I needed to learn when it came to college. I also liked how there was a wide range of clubs, sports, and activities to join.

Unless you are an overachiever, you get no guidance from any of the counselors. Teachers care more about their salaries than their students (highest paid in the state). Corruption in the city doesn't stop at the BoE, with many of the "established" families being favored at all levels.

Nearly my entire family(father, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, myself) went to OCHS, graduated and went on to become very successful in life. Now my son is graduating, my daughter will be there in 2 years. College placement is extremely high, vast majority of graduating seniors attend some form of continued...
