GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Irwin County High School. My favorite department there is the Agricultural department. This school really prepares you for college life. One thing that I would change is the different pathways a student is able to take.

I like the staff at the high school. Something I would change would be the way they handle bullying.

What I mainly liked about Irwin county is how much the teachers cared and treated you like family. I enjoyed the extra curricular activities but they don't really have a lot of options. I would like to see a change in how they treat other sports. They make it seem like if you aren't a cheerleader or a football player that you don't matter. I would like to see every sport and every activity be treated as one

We have attended all of the area high schools and Irwin County is even worse than Fitzgerald High. Avoid it like the plague.
