Overall, throughout my 4 years here at Okemos High School, I've had a pretty good experience. I've enjoyed my classes and learned a lot.

Best school in the Lansing area that can compete with any school in Detroit or Grand Rapids. I love the community here and I think that the school has been a great fit for me. I wish school safety would be higher so students don't have to worry about being under threat.

Good classes and lots of AP opportunities for students. Good teachers and classes are well taught. School is older but had begun remodeling.

Trash school, everything is bad about it, teachers are mean, the school lunch is garbage, there are strange customs that are straight up inconvenient.

Overall I would say as a minority who has had two children go through Okemos School I would do it again. My son struggles with math and his junior high math teacher has been tutoring him since he entered high school. I would say 90% of the teachers are amazing and love what they do, but 10% should r...

My daughter has grown as a student, and as a person in Okemos schools. She is near the top of her class academically and enjoys extra circular activities in and out of school. As a parent I would recommend Okemos schools to any parent looking to give their child a head start on college.
