The only teacher we have dealt with told us at parent teacher that our son was doing well then he received a poor report card. That report said "keep up the good work" but the grading system reflected poor grades in my opinion. The school uses numbers for kindergarten grading so parents dont feel children are failing even when they clearly are.

As a parent in Schirra for the last 14 years, I have watched all 3 of my children grow and learn here at Schirra. I am so grateful that they were lucky enough to start their academic foundation here. As my oldest child is now in college, I know he received the greatest start here in Schirra that has carried him all the way through to college.I knew everyday when I put my child on the bus to go to school, that they were safe and in the best hands possible outside of their family.When it is said "that it takes a village" to raise a child, I am truly appreciative that Schirra has been a big part of my children's "village".

Good school, the principal is very good at what she does, the teachers are caring and respectful. The PTA is also very active and does a lot to keep the kids and parents involved. We are very happy with this school and look forward to having our kids attending it for years to come.
