the best parts are having my friends around. the worst part is they don't really let us have any freedom and they don't know how to plan or communicate anything and i feel like im not learning anything

Old Town High School is in a city with a strong sense of community. As a parent I have experienced two students graduate and one that will be graduating this year. The high school prepares the students for the real world and both graduates have excelled at college and in the work place. My senior is getting ready to attend college and I feel very confident that he will succeed as well. I believe the best part of my experience has been watching my children with sporting activities. These provide good memories with my son winning a state of Maine baseball championship and winning two conference golf championships. I have also enjoyed watching my daughter and step-son play on their respective teams as well. My worst experience has been seeing that the middle school did not set my children up for high school. The freshmen year was tough for the kids as homework and deadlines were not a priority in the middle school agenda.

The best thing about going to Old Town High School is being surrounded by the people you grew up with since it's placed in a small town. It makes school much easier to be with friends you've known forever rather than having to start fresh in High School, but an issue I have is the lack of diversity. I wish to see more inclusion at this school, but unfortunately there isn't because Old Town High is based in a predominantly white town. I'd like to see more inclusion of other cultures it's very minimal here so this school can be more welcoming.
