GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Capital High School is overall a good school. For high-achieving students I find that academics can sometimes fall short but all in all the staff is wonderful.

The school had many issues. It was a very unsafe school with many threats made against the school itself and the students were threated.

The administration says its neutral on when issues are brought forward they don't do anything about it. They have some screwed up priorities when it comes to the hatred and bullying at capital. Classes are fine but some teachers are hard and give no help for struggling students. The intitution overall is okay but i would have liked a more involved school.

They kept us informed on grades good or bad and were responsive to emails when questions or problems would arise. The bigger problem is the stude...

Disregards student's time and personal life. I regularly had to spend at least 14 hours on schoolwork daily. They would always preach about mental health, but many of my peers would frequently experience burnout, anxiety, and depression due to the workload. The principal does not listen to the outcr...
