As a student who has grown up here and knows how other schools in the area are, I really enjoy OHS. There is a variety of electives as well as activities to participate in. The smaller class sizes are great and I love the block Scheudling. It allows for more time with the teachers if needed as well as time for homework so we don't have to do it at home. I enjoy this school and would not choose another that is available in our area.

There's a lot of work that needs to be done to this school. I'm a firm believer in how surroundings can affect others. If there's not a well built connection between the school staff and the students. Don't expect much out of them. Nowadays it seems to be drifting further and further down the line of education. One thing I've noticed about teachers as a whole is that the ones that have made the most positive impact on me are the ones I had the most respect for. Teachers in my opinion play an important role in every child's life almost as if they're secondary parents. Working in a field where students are nothing but vulnerable to guidance from someone else other than their parents. It's just devastating to see that some aren't being lead down the best path just because their teachers don't care. I've had three very impactful teachers here. Their kind souls did nothing but remind that my presence was worth every ounce of success I was willing to put into it.

Opelika High School has opened many doors for me. It has allowed me to grow as a person and as a leader. I am apart of many clubs and organizations and see myself as a student leaders amongst my peers. Opelika High has grown tremendously these past few years and there's not much I would want to change.

I have honestly had the worst years of my life at this school. They claim they do everything to prevent bullying but they do absolutely nothing until you tell them something they don't want you to know. some of the teacher are cool and all but others just sit around on their phones all of the time....

Opelika is an incredible place for kids to learn and grow. The programs they offer the students are first class. Their Fine Arts, Athletics, and Career Tech programs add to the overall experience the kids get from great teachers in the classrooms.
