GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Grand Valley is a small school, which has its advantages and disadvantages. I have had a few great teachers to keep me sane, but most of the others seem to be the school's "good old boys" who never left. I would love to see more attention paid to actual academia and less to athletics. This leaves non-athletes feeling inferior, even if their accomplishments far outweigh their peers'. That's really all Grand Valley is these days- a breeding ground for mediocre athletes.

The teachers don't care about teaching because the students don't care to learn. Aside from academics there is not much of a choice for students if they want to get involved, the school offers basic sport teams and little to no clubs.

Everyone is very kind and welcoming. The teachers are very understanding and want the best for you. Everyone goes out of their way to be nice to everyone to make school feel like a safe place.
