The best part of attending Oscoda High School was the tight-knit community and the fact that everybody knew each other. Oscoda has a very good dual enrollment/ middle early program, although they are lacking AP classes. The worst part about Oscoda High School was the teaching, however, some classes not teaching but pushed assignments without working with the students to ensure that they were absorbing the information.

The culture was great and for the most part students treated other well, which I believe is a comment on the hard work of the teachers. However, the academics were sub-par and there were hardly any college-readiness resources available. Books in the library were unable to be checked out.

Oscoda Area High School is a very nice school that has made many big steps in the past 6 years. The school used to have one the lowest testing averages in the state. Today, it has gone from the bottom to the top of testing averages. This has been achieved by the teacher's hard work and the student's motivation. I am proud to be called an Oscoda Owl.

I graduated from here in 2013. I must say the students and teachers are all very welcoming and nice. However academically two years ago they were one of the schools in michigan with the lowest test scores. It is very easy to get by, practically everyone passes, the volleyball coaches are very unfair...
