GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of being a part of Norwell High School is that it is really easy to connect to both peers and teachers. It is small enough to create a community of connectivity, but also large enough leave an imprint inside and outside of the community. The worst part is where the campus is located; I wish it was in a more interesting area or a larger campus. I do cross country and track, and while running, it is easy to realize just how small the school's campus is. There is also a lack of activities on campus grounds; all generally happen inside the school. What I would like to see changed the most is the school lunch; there a few good meals, but most of the time, I feel as if I do not get enough to eat, or the food just doesn't taste very good.

My experience at Norwell High School was generally positive. There are always negatives to everything but Norwell is great at keeping the positives in the forefront of students' minds. I would say the best part was my experience in the golf program. It allowed me to not only better myself but also make lifelong friends who will support me through my ups and downs. I also learned how to work as a team while at the same time making sure my actions were positive for the team. The worst part of my experience at Norwell was teachers not being supportive during important times of my life. When I was going through difficult times I found little support for the adults in the building.

I liked the community that Norwell showed throughout my four years of attendance. No matter what was happening, people were there for each other. Everyone knew one another.

The review questions up top were irrelevant. I went to norwell back in the 90s and early 00'. I was so miserable due to the constant bullying. The teaching style was off too it was like most students already knew everything so there was no actual learning. The school was big on sports and being on a...

As a former black student, the racism and the excused racism in this school is unbelievable. There’s confederate flags everywhere, micro aggressions being thrown around by the TEACHERS all the time, and teachers saying the N- word and trying to make excuses for their selves immediately after being c...

My son has AD and Autism and the school tells me that my son is the problem that he is not doing the best he can that he is lazy. There has been 2 teacher that has hit him in the back of his head to get him working again and used a air horn to get his attention.
