The 8th grade center is where everything went wrong for my child. He is dyslexic and on the spectrum; only required Special Ed classes. Through all the years of IEPs and meetings not once was I told by the teacher that she was concerned that my son might be dyslexic. All these years missed because the Special Ed teachers aren't taking the time to evaluate/observe my child's education. I know it's not all on the 8th grade but I'm still livid by the lack of care for the Special Education department and the push the child through attitude. "No child left behind", what a joke. You just don't know it on paper but they are getting left behind. He was getting As and Bs and at every meeting I was told it was going great; bye. No indication that there was a problem.
