Many of the teachers are very understanding and willing to compromise. They understand their subjects and are willing to help. There's a lot of extra opportunities with the career center that a lot of other schools don't get.

The Owego Academy is a great school for music studies, select sports and trade programs. Sadly there humanities program is incredibly lacking with two languages and no classes on European or Asian studies, only American history and government. Their faculty is often on a power trip and bathrooms are often locked so admissions can enforce its minimal power on students and inconveniences there lives.

I attended Owego Free Academy from K-12. Owego is a close knit community, one in which everyone knows everyone. However biases in the school system were apparent at some points as some things were attempted to be swept under the rug.

Horrible. Would not recommend. As a former student the administration did nothing to stop its bullying. hard drugs and sex in the school. major bullying problems. I had to drop out as the school was so toxic. took my education somewhere else

Small enough for personal attention, large enough for good opportunities, and a fabulous music program that wins top awards every year. They have sent two students to each of the last two All-Eastern Choruses, extremely rare for a small school. My kids all thrived there.

Nothing is done there to stop bullying. People chew tobacco in the school. Some of the teachers are rude. Racism is an issue but again nothing is done about it. Don't bring your kids here that is all
