Last week, when Hurricane Helene hit Eastern Kentucky, our school remained open. Most counties around us were closed, even colleges were closed. We weren't, and it caused students to not be able to get home until after 5:00 pm. They sent a Facebook post saying that they would have peoples kids at the elementary school and it was the parents job to go and pick them up. Most of the back roads were blocked or flooded, parents couldn't get past. This is by far one of the stupidest decisions the school has made since I started here.

I just started Bath County High School after being homeschooled for a year due to intense bullying at Rowan County Senior High School. So far, everyone has been kind and understanding about my emotional and academic needs. I love my teachers and just the community at Bath County High School.
