GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Facility and teachers should prepare the students at Pahoa high for changes and manners, especially if there are large groups of diverse students for example micronesians who enroll into the school the following year. Teachers and faculty should have more communication with students and the changes that it may have the following year. If not there will be endless fights from the newcomers and the old timers over there longer.

My experience at this school was education because we had a lack of resources. But I try to do what I can, the thing that made high school the best was sports. Our teams weren't always the best but I did good on those teams. I would like our school to change how our learning is being done. We lack discipline and need to higher our education.

Just like every other school, we have our stereotypes, downfalls, and turn of events that make our school not the very best. However the effort of students and teachers trying to prove others wrong, and provide school spirit, safety, and enlighten the overall mood of school does not go unnoticed.

Teachers are dictators, students has to madly respect to teachers and many teachers don’t care about students’ feeling and social life. Facilities are bad, school don’t give easy access to use the facility. School period is WAYYY too long.

Since the new principal, Darlene Bee was appointed, the school has been a downhill slope. Disrespect for her isn't just present in the students, but in the teachers also. With security that plays favorites, an overall uncoordinated staff, terrible food portions, and students who genuinely believe th...
