The Paideia School has stayed committed to this concept for 50 years. The school ranks high for student performance. Recently, 13% of seniors were named National Merit semi-finalists. Paideia provides the core curriculum required of all schools and more. Advanced Placement courses span biology, chemistry, physics, statistics and calculus. The STEAM curriculum includes computer modeling, electronics, 3D printing, mechanics, robotics and astrophysics. Classes in diseases and the modern world, oceanography and coding for computer games are also popular. In Paideia's urban agriculture program, students not only learn how to grow crops and raise animals but study food security, sustainability and the environment. Art classes go beyond drawing, painting, orchestra and acting. Students can take courses in clothing design, jazz, playwriting, standup, digital design and photography. Award-winning authors also come to speak or give webinars. Athletic facilities encompass swimming, track, baseball, soccer, tennis and more.

Not usually the type of person to comment on reviews but this school has problems. I attended this school for a year before transferring. The school is super fake and literally there was a WHITE TEACHER who said the N word in two classes... Problems.

This is a magical school. My children have attended two other independent schools prior to Paideia and they both agree this is the happiest they've ever been. They learn a ton AND are filled with joy when they learn!

I started in the 6th grade. When COVID hit the school immediately transferred to online school. I had trouble in middle school because there was very little academic rigor. I struggled with the same problem as a freshman, but this year (sophomore year) has been great. I am challenged but not over stressed and I really like my classes.

My experience at the Paideia elementary school was deeply disappointing and, at times, distressing. The pay was low, and the overall environment was chaotic, unstructured, and unsafe. There were no clear rules, boundaries, or consistent behavioral expectations for students. Children were often left...

My time at paideia was easily the worst i spent in school. The school claims to foster a space for POC but in reality its just white overload and the minority kids like myself were separated and the curriculum focus was not on uplifting POC but just lecturing white people it sucked. In an ideal worl...

I was deeply disappointed in The Paideia School. Although the school’s reputation for progressive education initially attracted our family, what we experienced was far the opposite of inclusive. My child often felt isolated and unheard when issues of race arose in class discussions. For a school tha...

I wish I could give this school more than 1 star but I cannot. We have a young child who we adopted after being in foster care for 3 years. When we met with the school we talked about how we wanted him to be in a faith based school to have stability, structure and security. We were assured the school...
