As an IB student, I've experienced the best part of the school academics, but outside of that, the academics at the school are mediocre. I've concluded that Dwyer simply aims to "check the boxes" but doesn't necessarily take action to prepare students for college and life.

Dwyer has a lot of class choices but it seems to be disorganized at times. As a senior you can take a planning period that allows you to miss one class period every other day. Dwyer alternates days as to class schedules. Sometimes 2 hours seems like a lot of time for each class. I would recommend that you take college classes to help increase your GPA as it gets taken into consideration when determining class rank. I do not play sports so i do not know how good our school is at sports. It is a good school for International Baccalaureate program. The principal is always enthusiastic and encourages the students to do well. I was able to get into this high school through its choice program. There are some rich snobs who go here but there are also some down to earth students. There are cliches. Some of the advanced classes have few students. In these classes there is a lot of one on one instruction. Also some of the parents can really be pushy with the teachers.

Dwyer is a great school to be zoned for and I had a great time there. The diversity meant that there was many different options for clubs and organizations as well there was an intresting blend of cultures at the school. That said as a student who was left behind because of poor planing and limmited parental oversight I had a rather difficult time. There were not options that I knew about for academic help and I struggled because of it. I would like to see an emphasis on acedemics promoted for the school rather than being a side thought.

Dwyer High School should have a higher rating in my opinion. My child just completed the 9th grade and he absolutely loves Dwyer. He was pleased with all but one of his teachers, and I do understand his reasons, but overall he and I both think they’re doing a great job. They have really good sports...

This school is wonderful! The principal is very good at communicating every week with the parents, the teachers are all very kind and love their jobs. Of all the Gardens/Jupiter area I recommend Dwyer. My son loved it!

It's a great school if your child plans to pursue a career as a street fighter or boxer. The fights are frequent and brutal as staff are slow or afraid to intervene.
