Bessey Creek Elementary is a Five Star School, as recognized by the Florida Department of Education. The designation is awarded for exemplary community involvement. To be recognized as a Five Star School, an educational institution must satisfy five criteria: business partnerships, family involvement, volunteerism, student community service, and school advisory councils. Bessey Creek Elementary supplements its academic curriculum with the Cambridge Global Perspectives program, which helps students develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and research — skills that will help them as they pursue higher education and enter the work world. Bessie Creek Elementary provides its young students with a range of extracurricular activities. Art, drum line, gardening, recycling, and Girls on the Run are just some of the clubs available. Golf, track, and Ultimate Frisbee are among the sports.

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Such a horrible experience since administration has changed. Testing is their number 1 goal and the children are nothing but a test score. They put so much pressure on the kids that they end up hating school. The school was amazing with the old administration.
