GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The Mat-Su Middle College has prepared me for college and has allowed me to experience what is like to be in the life of a college student. I get to do so while being close to home and receiving it for free. I never really enjoyed the high school environment. At the middle college students get away from that and be in a mature, well-rounded, college environment. Students at the school are there to put most of their focus on their studies and take advantage of the free college credits.

I loved that the staff treated you like your own person. All news event go directly to the students. I received the full college experience. The other schools in the district did not have the best educational options, but this school allows one to have a full college experience with the support of high school advisers.

It is such an amazing school and program. Being able to be college-ready by starting college early so you can have that experience is such a blessing. It is limited with the smaller staff and campus and struggles with being able to take classes at another school and having time for sports. Really hope to see this program implemented to other states and schools.
