GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Small public school. Great teachers. Focuses funding a lot on football and not many other sports or extracurriculars.

I enjoyed my experience at Palmer High School, I graduated in 2018. I had caring teaches that guided me throughout my high school years, preparing me for my college life. I was very much involved in my academics, I was in the school band and I did some sports. I met real good friends, teachers, faculty and community members. Palmer ISD was my home since 2nd grade and it will always be in heart, now that I am in college, I see how Palmer ISD prepared me for my new life as a college student.

It's a very conservative school. Some of the rules do not make sense (ie. no brightly colored lipsticks), but most teachers want to teach and are talented at it. The English department is fantastic, however the math is lacking. The sports teams aren't the best, but the coaches are very nice.

I've seen it unfold for almost a decade, this is not something I am basing off a one time experience. Unfortunately, none of the staff cares to help...

As a parent, I thought a small school would offer a caring environment where everybody knows everybody. Where teachers would not only know my kids name but to be there for him when school can be tough. He has been dealt one bad hand after another. I assumed the person over seeing scheduling would ma...
