There was not enough sensitivity to special needs. Staff and students need to be educated on how to deal with high functioning autism. Some staff were wonderful, and others did not understand. As a result, my child often got penalized for having a meltdown when in fact he was bullied by kids savvy enough to know how to stay out of trouble. Academically, my child thrived.

Park Ridge is honestly a good community where you are definitely encouraged to learn, be an athlete, and be involved because everyone else is too. It's small but you do know all of the teachers and they become very helpful and personal that way.
