Parma Heights' Incarnate Word Academy is a private Catholic education alternative for students from prekindergarten to eighth grade. A recipient of the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award, which recognizes exemplary schools nationwide, the academy is at the cutting edge of effective education.
Students are taught using the tools of today, including iPads, in classrooms that integrate interactive experiences, such as augmented reality. Outside of the classroom, students take their pick with over 40 extracurricular options, run the show with their own digital broadcast studio, and explore in an advanced technology lab. Tuition starts at $5,500 for kindergarten to eighth grade students, with separate costs for preschool broken down into either a full or half day’s education. Financial aid is also available.
The curriculum for first through fifth graders focuses on strong study skills, critical thinking, problem-solving and reading comprehension. Middle schoolers go through programs that prepare them for high school, such as Algebra I, analysis of various language arts, hands-on science experiences and a cumulative study of world and American history. The school also stresses values of the Catholic faith throughout its instruction and activities.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful this school is. The teachers, Sisters, staff, parents, and students, have all left positive and lasting impressions on my husband and I. We are reminded daily of how our investment in IWA has already paid off after just 1 year. This school instills confidence, kindness, and acceptance. We are so proud to be a part of the IWA family.

Love the school. Great teachers and leaders. 7 years with the school and 7 more to go. The kids couldn't be happier! They are challenged by the amazing teachers and their honors program is wonderful.

My wife and I have been very pleased with our experience at IWA. We have four children, one of which has already graduated. The schoolwork curriculum is quite rigorous, especially after the third grade. It forces the student to manage their time, especially if they are involved in extracurriculars....
