I would like to be more prepared for college. The only classes that are preparing me for college are my college credit courses such as Comp I and II and College Algebra. Most of my classes give me busy work. The teachers would rather be up to date on the faculty and student gossip rather than teach.

the idea of lake hamilton is amazing with the academics, sports, food, but like everything else is cons to it. because the school is so big and there's so many students, it doesn't feel like family. no one REALLY knows each other, there's many clicks within students and everyone walks past each other like we're strangers. lake hamiltons whole thing is "one pack, one nation" whatever but truthfully it's not. most teachers don't have a true connection with students, it's more business like if anything which sucks. coming from a small school with a graduating class of almost 50 and having the same teachers since 7th grade, it was a big switch coming to lake hamilton. the teachers are great and so are the kids but it's hard to feel accepted and happy in a place where there's so many of yall. which isn't necessarily a lake hamilton problem, probably a more me problem but on my first day no one even knew i was a new kid, they just assumed id been going there. there's just no connection

Lake Hamilton is a niche type school. It's a medium sized school with a small town feel. I like that the grades are separated.

Although Lake Hamilton High School was overall a good experience as a student, some areas could easily be improved with the proper oversight. Certain teachers were wonderful, while others were laughable. I could go from one extremely difficult test to joking around and playing poker in back to back...
