Pekin Community High School has a lot of opportunities for different career paths. We have many classes for different pathways and for all students. Pekin High has allowed me to grow both academically and as a person. I would like to see the grading system changed from Standard Based Grading (SBG) back to the tradition scale grading.

pekin was a really fun school to go to. they were very invested in all of the students that attended and in each thing that they enjoyed. at pekin they wanted to make sure everyone felt involved and never wanted to be left out of all the learning and fun. they were very invested in having the right things for everyone. every teacher made sure that it was known that they were someone you could come talk to if you were ever in trouble with something, needed help, or just needed someone to talk to. sports and clubs were big things other than academics as well and everyone getting evolved in after school activities.

Pekin community High School is a wonderful school with a lot of opportunities for students to find their passion and flourish. But some issues with Pekin is that the rules that they come up with, they never follow them. and a lot of the teachers push their own agendas over teaching, but to make up for that pekin has everything from an auto shop, woodworking, metalworking, stem classes, art classes, many language classes, and so on. they give you the opportunity to do something with yourself.

This school is very poorly ran. Kids with names can do whatever while the rest of the kids are punished for not being at the same status as the admin. My kids watch fights in the bathrooms and vaping is done in class behind teachers backs. It’s of athletes on drugs but since they win it’s ok. Kids a...
