The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. Pender High School has always involved every student in every activity that they have put on. The students at the school respect most of the teachers and that goes same to the teachers respecting the students. I would say if the school was to change anything, it would be to change the lunches.

Pender Public School has a high standards for students. The student body overall gets a good amount of homework, but it only prepares us for the future.

It is a small school with too many cliques. There is too much emphasis on sports (especially football) while all other extra-curricular activities are ignored. The way students treat each other is beyond dreadful and behavioral issues are never addressed. Several faculty and staff act extremely unprofessional. The system does not prepare students for college or the real world. Academics are lacking. I am embarrassed to say I graduated from Pender.
