Going to Perth Amboy High school throughout the years a lot of discipline towards uniforms. It was all about wearing uniforms. This past September we have moved into our New big school made just for Perth Amboy and it is a very large school.

The school is not horrible but it isn't the best it could be. we are in a 300 million dollar school but it doesn't feel like home more like a hospital. they restrict a lot of things we do such as having posters up to represent accomplishments, supporting our sports teams or even putting our safety first. The school is mandating uniforms and a cellphone policy but doesn't emphasise any drugs in school, no weapons or even no threats. Our school isn't what we are used to as before we had an older, homey school where it felt like a real high school. In this school, they are cutting the majority of our clubs and sports and everyone's trying to fight it and they aren't supporting the students well being. I would like for our school to be an enjoyable and safe place.

The school is more focused on enforcing uniform than the fact most of their students are performing below grade level. They need to re-arrange their priorities and if I had a choice I wouldn't attend highschool in this city.

Perth Amboy HS is not an "ideal" hs at all, but it has produced many successful students. I graduated 2 yrs ago and am attending one of the top colleges in NJ. The community in which the high school is in is an urban community, thus there are a lack of conventional resources (money, books, class siz...
