At Pflugerville’s Hendrickson High School, school pride is so strong, students, faculty and staff think of themselves as one collective body — Hawk Nation. Hendrickson High School was named for Robert Earl Hendrickson, a former Pflugerville Independent School District teacher, coach and superintendent. He was also a veteran of two wars and a co-founder of the city’s volunteer fire department. Leadership and volunteerism are just some of the traits that continue to define Hawk Nation. A city-wide community cleanup event, for example, started at Hendrickson High School. Being part of Hawk Nation means students aren’t content to keep their feet on the ground. As they say at the school, “hawks soar.” Some students take Advanced Placement courses to get a head start on college. Others get hands-on experience in architecture, construction, technology and agriculture classes. Hendrickson High School sports teams have won district titles in almost every sport. The arts program is also a stand-out. The “Hawkapella” singing club, dance team and the National FFA Organization are just a few of the groups that students can join. Hawk Nation is united, but the community is made up of students with a variety of interests, talents and future plans. At Hendrickson High School, students can explore them all.

I was at hendrickson for 4 years, my favorite part was all the people i had met but my least or worst experience is the subs. Some of them don't know the bell schedule or won't let us leave. I once had one call the office to make sure we were able to leave and confirm it. They also sometimes put way more rules on us than the teachers do and act like they know more than the teachers

Love this school. The diversity and the amazing students and staff are exactly what I was looking for in a high school for my daughter. She had only previously attended private schools overseas and I was hoping for a good experience for her. Now she is a senior and ready for university.

I have had great experiences with the teachers at this school. Unfortunately, I find that the leadership lacks character and it has failed to prove that it really cares. I believe in supporting our schools in any way possible. It just makes it difficult when you do not believe in its administrative...

Best high school in Pflugerville ISD! The principal is amazing! He is at every sporting event, club event, competition there is. He is highly visible in the school at all times and even knows most of the students names. The students love him and have a great deal of respect for him. Therefore, the d...
