At Pflugerville’s Hendrickson High School, school pride is so strong, students, faculty and staff think of themselves as one collective body — Hawk Nation. Hendrickson High School was named for Robert Earl Hendrickson, a former Pflugerville Independent School District teacher, coach and superintendent. He was also a veteran of two wars and a co-founder of the city’s volunteer fire department. Leadership and volunteerism are just some of the traits that continue to define Hawk Nation. A city-wide community cleanup event, for example, started at Hendrickson High School. Being part of Hawk Nation means students aren’t content to keep their feet on the ground. As they say at the school, “hawks soar.” Some students take Advanced Placement courses to get a head start on college. Others get hands-on experience in architecture, construction, technology and agriculture classes. Hendrickson High School sports teams have won district titles in almost every sport. The arts program is also a stand-out. The “Hawkapella” singing club, dance team and the National FFA Organization are just a few of the groups that students can join. Hawk Nation is united, but the community is made up of students with a variety of interests, talents and future plans. At Hendrickson High School, students can explore them all.

At Hendrickson it's been a overall great experience, I've enjoyed my time here with the many clubs and sports available to join, which is one the best things it has to offer I like to think that it's the best high school in Pfisd with its safety and academics. Having it placed close to many residential houses makes it a great environment all around. And the teachers really take their time and care of you.

I've been going to Hendrickson since 9th grade and they are always improving different aspects of the school. Improvements that do positively impact the school.

From my high school experience at Hendrickson High School I have noticed that while dealing with my mental health issues, my cries for help were not heard. I wish that the teachers at Hendrickson start becoming more attentive to their students and paying attention to their well-being. I also would love to see some better funding for the science department so that future students can have more hands-on experiences.

I have had great experiences with the teachers at this school. Unfortunately, I find that the leadership lacks character and it has failed to prove that it really cares. I believe in supporting our schools in any way possible. It just makes it difficult when you do not believe in its administrative...

Best high school in Pflugerville ISD! The principal is amazing! He is at every sporting event, club event, competition there is. He is highly visible in the school at all times and even knows most of the students names. The students love him and have a great deal of respect for him. Therefore, the d...
