When I attended this school it was a blast. We had a greenhouse and we would sell flowers to help raise money for the school activities. We had a playground called big blue that was awesome. We also had some of the best teachers in the school district. My parents wanted me to attend school here so badly that they had st sign a paper saying that they wanted me to go to this school. We even had a girl move from up north to attend our elementary school. I spoke to her parents and they were just amazed at how this school worked and the friendliness of the staff.

All teachers have their own website that is updated weekly with all new info. It includes all homework for the week, all events and activities scheduled, and links to practice.

Newer teachers are assigned mentors, but I have doubts to the effectiveness of the mentors. I have experienced many times that newer teachers were less prepared for lessons.

Lakewood Elementary and Primary are by far the best schools our children have ever gone to. Being military, we move quite often. We never knew what we were missing until our kids started at Lakewood. Very diverse school. My child is a military child, and the Lakewood schools are much like what she is used to. Every teacher she has had from K to 4th grade have been awesome! We send our daughter out of district to the school, and it is worth it.

Both of my children have attended Lakewood Elementary. I have had nothing but a positive, amazing experience. The school has so many extra curricular activities that there is something for everyone to be involved.

Great staff, and the communication between the teachers and parents is outstanding! My students' teacher always keeps up to date, and does not mind sharing an inside look to the class room environment.
