GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience at The Arts Academy At Benjamin Rush has been phenomenal. Going from a 14 year old freshman to a now 17 year old senior has been the best years of my life so far. The school is great, administrators are fantastic, and the culture is amazing.

it really is the best option i had when choosing high schools. there is just a few things regarding the education that i think doesnt ready students for college even though were considered a college prep school. we take the arts very seriously that's for one and i love that so much. english department is good. math and science ehh.. social studies department is good as well. school culture could be better. we have culture but doesn't feel students take it as seriously as it would be at other schools. there's a lot of students who should repeat and not pass but teachers never wanted to deal with the paper work in regards to that so it never happened. which makes us look good statistically but if they graduate and walk into a college that would another story.... this is also a running theme with other schools in the area. i don't hate the school. i feel comfortable in it for the most part. i love how unique and diverse we are, i just wish academically we were set up differently.

They are very inclusive in any way that you can imagine. The recognize and celebrate everybody weather it's about their culture, religion, sexuality and anything of that sort. The staff respect and value everyone and is not dismissive of anyone's problems. The teachers give each and every student the attention they need and do their best to help everyone.

-9 horrible n a nightmare. Teachers allow kids to curse n scream n torment other students , especially my white student who is learning disability and ptsd. They dont care about your child only looking for Democratic scoring points.

I like the small atmosphere at Rush. It is a safe learning environment where my son excelled in every subject. He is a senior and got into 4 out of 4 universities he applied to with partial scholarships to all of them.
