Philip Barbour High School in all honesty is a decent school but lacks in multiple departments. Such as, teachers. Philip Barbour is losing two math teachers just this year. Due to that fact, the school also lacks in academics. Philip Barbour High School also has no guidance counclers which then leaves the students lacking in college readiness. No talks about scholarships or FAFSA.

I had a good experience during my time at Philip Barbour, however they do not prepare you for college. The classes you take at this school need to be altered to fit preparing students for life and further education. Overall in my time it was fun and the sports and extracurriculars were always a blast. The teaching staff during my time there was also super supportive and helpful to all students.

I have really enjoyed my experience at Philip Barbour High School. I enjoy being in the band and drum line here. I also really like how many options of classes they offer including college courses and AP courses that are available to me and other students. I have been able to earn college credit while also finishing my high school credits. This gives me and other students opportunities that many students don't have and makes going into college a smooth transition. I really enjoy the staff and all my teachers. my teachers try to help me and tutor me when needed and always try to make it better instead of worse. I think the worst part about Philip Barbour is that it is a rather small school and their is not as much extracurricular activities to choose from but overall i have had a rather good experience here at Philip Barbour. even the students are very respectful and friendly.

Schools administrators and teachers, do not have students best interest in mind when they come into this school i have observed multiple incidents of teachers belittling a student, as well as harassing a student. Students are unmotivated, and relatively unhappy compared to other schools in the area...

This School doesn't correctly deal with issues with students. Most teacher let there power get to there head. We are missing teachers and they are not trying to help students or teach there class in anyway. Studesnt get bullied by the teachers and the over half of the students dont get a lunch.

I have been both a student and a parent in this school system. I have been in many other areas in the country, and Philip Barbour falls way short of what other school systems are doing to provide quality education and environment for their students. To be fair, a lot of the issues are not just the s...
