Nelson is a great school with a very diverse student population. The teachers are caring and go above and beyond to make students be the best they can be. Class size is about 28 kids to one teacher, 1-3rd grade, and larger class sizes for 4th grade and up. Title One school, takes all of the poorly behaved / performing kids. My kids are high achievers, but not allowed to advance (math facts/concepts and reading levels) because "we teach to the middle /...

Nelson elementary helped my kids enormously. By knowing how to Assist my kids on achieving their highest limit and continue to motivate my kids to exceed that. We can see the difference coming from an outside district. Nelson's stuff also is great and has a lot of patience.

I love Nelson. My 4th grader has been at Nelson since kindergarden and we LOVE it. My child has excelled there since day one. I would reccomend this school to everyone as the teachers truly believe in a child being pushed to learn and no child is left behind.
