Ellis is a great school because of the dedicated and talented teachers, excellent communication between administration and parents, and academic rigor. There are so many extracurricular activities for a school this size. We looked at almost every school in the Pittsburgh are and very happy with our choice.

I am a current senior at the Ellis School and I have had the best schooling experience possible. Before I came to Ellis I was not confident in any of my abilities or academics. But Ellis pushes you to work hard and become the best student possible. The teachers are amazing and always willing to help. My favorite thing about Ellis is the tight-knit community. I come from a class of 23 people and I know that at any other school I would not be able to say that every person in my class is a close friend. So, if you have the opportunity, I would say send you child to Ellis. Yes, the academics are hard but your child will grow in ways that are unimaginable.

I enjoyed the academics at Ellis. The teachers were supportive and always challenged us. However, there is not a lot of school spirit and many of the students there don't recognize their privilege. They boast their diversity, but it is still predominantly white.

Ellis is like a college-level experience for K-12. The curriculum is top-notch and the focus on women's achievements and empowerment sets girls up for success. The education my daughter is getting at Ellis is incomparable.
