GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Had a great experience as a parent my wife and my sons mom both had gone to taconic along with there family members. Knowing the school and faculty members helped a lot and always felt like my son was having a great experience there.

I would like to see more administration and parent involvement with school and extracurricular activities around the school.

I love Taconic, yeah sure there are some physical disputes here and there but hey it's public school what would you expect. All my teachers are very understanding and do their best to help their students out, and they really know what they're teaching us, and how to make it easier if we are having trouble. I dont find it hard to find at least one class I enjoy, even if it was remote. While being in school at home for a large majority of the year i was still able to find classes i live and teachers i could really trust. Taconic is a community of so many different people and personalities and there isn't much i would change if I could.

This school is great. This is coming from someone who has seen and been on many of the things the school can offer, such as theatrical productions, the football team, the track team, etc. I would say that the academics are good. Most of my classes are very advanced and I learn everything I need to k...

Reviews are terribly out of date. To get an accurate picture of the school, its challenges as well as its recent success stories, look to school website and local news reports. Well rounded choices for students. New school building, including state-of-the art career/technical wing to begin spring 20...

This school is awful. There is dirt and dust throughout. Many kids fail classes each year. The honors teachers use excuses such as "You're in honors, you should be acing these classes." The school is stressful and a tense environment to work in. The staff only focuses on the "problem students," beca...
